Wageningen Marine Research – formerly know as Imares – is an established authority when it comes to aquatic research at sea. They investigate numerous biological and ecological aspects at the scientific level. Doctor Joop Coolen works as a commercial diver for WMR. His specialty is research into the diversity of species and the biomass of marine growth on unnatural reefs. Such as shipwrecks, wind turbines and gas platforms. On behalf of Wageningen Marine Research, we made this film to make the work of Joop Coolen visible and to promote the special skills he has.
