A convincing message using video animation
A clear way to tell a complex message is by using a video animation, a so-called explanimation. In addition to computer-generated animations, this explanimation uses our underwater footage, which makes the message even more powerful. We made this video on behalf of the World Wide Fund for Nature and Client Earth. They needed this video to reinforce their official complaint to the European Parliament. The complaint is about better protection of the Dogger Bank, a vast shallow area in the middle of the North Sea. This area, the engine of the North Sea, is of great importance for many animal species. Despite the fact that agreements have been made for decades, the protection of this area is hardly respected. The complexity here lies in the jurisdictional and cross-border issues. This explanimation is shown in a meeting of the European Parliament to call for action to fulfil the promises the policy makers have made.
